Training Partners

We want your new puppy to be a true member of your family and be loved by your guests. A companion that can go with you, be well behaved and not create a disturbance or be a nuisance. Our education pages are full of suggestions to get you prepared and help set realistic expectations for your new puppy. Getting started on the right foot is the best way to stop problematic behaviors before they start.

We understand that classes are not always available or set at convenient times that fit your schedule. The online courses can be more flexible, but they are lacking in the socialization area and puppies need daily socializing. Please do not overlook that and try to find a class in your area or check with your vet for other new puppy owners and set play dates. Invite friends over to help you do your homework and socialize your new puppy. Set your routine the day your puppy comes home and have fun training, they are only a puppy for a short time.

Below are trainers that offer online courses so you can start training the day you bring your new puppy home.

This is only a listing of trainers and is to be used as a resource guide. It is your responsibility to research the trainers. We can not guarantee results because we can not supervise you and determine if you are doing things correctly or even doing them at all.

Flying Colors Canine Academy

My husband and I started Flying Colors in March 2007 after graduating from NationalK9 School for Dog Trainers. I worked as a middle school and high school teacher for three years before stepping into the world of entrepreneurship. I especially love working with dogs who have behavior problems, because I love to see their owners have the opportunity to enjoy their dogs. Since I have young kids, I also enjoy working with families to create harmony and respect between their children and their dogs. We have three dogs in our family: Shelby a Sheltie mix, Apple a Siberian Husky, and Wakey a Corgi mix.
